OPTION 1:Mt Lofty–Cleland National Park:5 Star; Very Deluxe!! Tour Grade:Easy/moderate
A particularly beautiful part of the Heysen Trail with superb views and close encounters with wildlife.Start from the tiny village of Ashton and walk through the Horsenell Gully Conservation Park into eucalypt forest. Continue through Cleland National Park to your overnight stop at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Mount Lofty House.
Next day follow the Heysen Trail down through the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens into the orchards and vineyards of the Piccadilly Valley. Visit Mount Lofty Summit for superb views over Adelaide and the coast, and lunch at the Summit restaurant.In the afternoon, we follow a trail down into the Cleland National Park wildlife enclosure to walk among the native animals and cuddle a koala, before continuing to Waterfall Gully and returning to Adelaide.

OPTION 2: Hazelmere & Jupiter Creek:4½ stars Tour grade: easy
This tour explores an attractive area of farmland, forest, natural scrub and an historic goldfields. Kangaroos are common in the forest and wildflowers colour the scrub.
Start at the Chookaloo Nature Trail and follow the Heysen Trail through gently undulating country. You stay overnight at the luxurious ‘Hazelmere Homestead’, set in a large cottage garden.
On the second day you will walk through the Jupiter Creek goldfields, discovered in 1868 and small nuggets are still found there. Try your hand at panning and follow the trail underground if you wish. Visit the historic German township of Hahndorf on your way back to Adelaide.

OPTION 3: Mount Lofty – Marble Hill: 3 Star: Very comfortable Tour Grade: Moderate
This tour provides superb views over Adelaide, the coast and the Mount Lofty Ranges, and close encounters with the wildlife.
You start at Waterfall Gully and walk into Cleland National Park, entering the wildlife enclosure to walk among the native animals and cuddle a Koala if you wish.
Connect with the Heysen Trail and continue to Mount Lofty Summit for great views and lunch at the excellent Summit restaurant. Follow the trail through another national park and orchards to your overnight stop in a heritage stone cottage near Norton Summit.
Next day starts with a loop walk into the Morialta Conservation Park to an impressive gorge and waterfalls. Regain the trail to visit the impressive ruins of the governor’s mansion at “Marble Hill,” destroyed in a bush fire, before returning to Adelaide.

OPTION 4: Deep Creek and South Coast: 2½ or 4 Stars Tour Grade: Moderate plus
This tour follows the rugged south coast of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsular, with spectacular views of the Southern Ocean and Kangaroo Island.This is the southern end ofthe Heysen Trail and the wildest section near to Adelaide.
The trail traverses Deep Creek National Park, through areas of dense scrub and stringy bark forests, cascades and small, secluded coves.
Stay overnight in a cosy cottage inside the National Park and watch grazing kangaroos and birds from the deck. Next day the trail follows unspoilt coast to Cape Jervis.Return to Adelaide via the McLaren Vales wineries or take the ferry from Cape Jervis to continue your travels on Kangaroo Island.

Traversing a beautiful area of the FleurieuPeninsula, this tour passes through farmland and forest with extensive views.
Join the Heysen Trail to cross the tree-lined Finnis River en route to the Mount Magnificent Conservation Park, famous for its views of the Mount Lofty Ranges, the south coast and the Coorong National Park.
Pass through the Kyeema Conservation Park to your overnight accommodation at a cosy host farm.
Rejoining the Heysen trail next day, walk through forest, watching for kangaroos to the Chookaloo nature trail, and the end of your walk.
Visit one of the famous McLaren Vale wineries on your way back to Adelaide.

OPTION 6: Flinders Ranges: 3 day Wilpena & Blinman:2 & 4 Stars Tour grade: moderate
This tour follows the Heysen Trail through the most spectacular area of the Flinders Ranges, around Wilpena Pound and Brachina Gorge.
Day 1 We collect you from Port Augusta, Wilpena or Leigh Creek and connect with the Heysen Trail in the spectacular Brachina Gorge area, spending the first night in the historic town of Blinman. Overnight at the Blinman Hotel.
Day 2 We travel to Bunyeroo and follow the Heysen Trail along the Wilcolo Valley under the towering ramparts of Wilpena Pound. Overnight at Wilpena Pound Resort.
Day 3 Today we walk into the huge rock basin of Wilpena Pound, a park-like space of huge red gums and native pines. At the end of the day we transfer you to connect with your next booking in the area. Transport to Adelaide can also be arranged.
